Native Bee Gardens workshop
Event description
Learn how to create habitat for beneficial bugs and grow a beautiful, balanced garden with productive vegetables, fruits and flowers.
You will also make and take home a native bee hotel for our local stingless bees.
Join facilitator Laura Bailey of Margaret River Organic Farmer to explore companion planting for fruit and vegetable growing, as well as a range of water-wise native plants adapted to our local conditions that encourage beneficial insects.
This workshop comprises a one hour presentation followed by a hands-on creation of a native bee hotel. At the end of the workshop, everyone will leave with their own
native bee hotel and the knowledge to create their own bee-friendly
garden!
Complimentary organic teas & coffee included.
Suitable for: all bee enthusiasts (minimum 10 years old, all children need tickets & need to bee accompanied by an adult please).
