Native Plant Propagation Workshop

Native Plant Propagation Workshop:
Come and learn about propagating native plants! Each workshop will include theory about plant propagation, demonstration of techniques and hands-on guided experience, so you can get your hands dirty and practice what you’ve learnt.
We will cover:
- Introduction to propagation including basic requirements for seed germination and plant growth
- Information about seed dormancy and the treatment methods to overcome them
- From seed to seedling demonstrations (seed treatments, seed sowing and pricking out seedlings)
We’ll also go into an overview of propagating by cuttings and division and how to care for your plants.
Participants will get some take home resources outlining information covered in the workshop as well as access to themed information sheets covering:
- Plants for waterways and wetlands
- Habitat plants for birds and bats
- Plants for pollinators
This workshop will be available on:
- Saturday May 3 from 9 am to 12 pm
- Saturday May 31 from 9 am to 12 pm
