Gathering Native Seeds & Seedlings

Join the students of Waitoriki School as they tour you around their native bush section and show you how to identify and collect seeds and seedlings of native New Zealand species. Talks will be running continuously during this time.

Before or after the native seedlings talk, join the students for a tour around their māra including a bottle greenhouse and propagation table where they grow natives for riparian planting in the community, the shared food forest and regenerating bush area. They will have a sale table with herbs, teas, crafts, veggie and native seedlings.

Adult entry into the property is $3 cash as part of the Backyards Trail, or use your Backyards Bundle card. Kids under 12 years have free entry.
Participation in the event is by koha, please bring cash for your donation.
