Description

Moving to a new country comes with opportunities, but it can also come with questions: Where do I find reliable information? How do I navigate Australian services and systems? How can I build a sense of belonging? And what are the practical steps towards creating a stable life here?

Join ArLA Australia and CREA for a welcoming and practical community workshop designed for migrants and culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities in Perth.

Through a series of guest presentations, interactive discussions and opportunities to connect with others, we’ll explore some of the practical and personal aspects of settling into life in Australia.

You’ll hear from speakers with experience across settlement services, community leadership and financial wellbeing, who will share practical information, personal insights and resources to help you navigate life in Australia with greater understanding and confidence.

What to expect

  • Practical information about Australian services, systems and settlement support

  • Insights into navigating everyday life as a migrant in Australia

  • Information and considerations around financial readiness and the pathway towards home ownership

  • Personal experiences of migration, community connection and belonging

  • Interactive discussions and the opportunity to ask questions

  • A welcoming space to meet and connect with other members of the multicultural community

Who is this for?

This event is open to migrants and members of the broader CALD community, including newly arrived migrants, international graduates, young adults, families, community members and anyone interested in learning more about navigating life in Australia.

Whether you have recently arrived or have been living in Australia for some time, this is an opportunity to learn, ask questions and connect with others in a supportive community environment.
