International Women's Day - Melbourne CBD

Celebrate International Woman's Day with NECA and embrace the theme #EmbraceEquity  

Join us for our annual International Women’s Day event as we get together to truly embrace equity, challenge gender stereotypes, call out discrimination, draw attention to bias, and seek out inclusion.   

In support of the theme #EmbraceEquity, we would like to, for the first time since its inception open the event to all genders and welcome males supporting the initiative to join this event.  

The event will be packed with an inspirational talk and powerful stories to inspire, celebrate the achievements of women, and to share experiences as we create equal opportunities for all in our community.  We are thrilled to have Tasneem Chopra joining us to talk about matters such as diversity, gender-based violence, women of colour representation and more. Followed by, Doug Chappel from the Comedy Club to bring in some humour and joyous conversation! 

Delight in freshly made scones, robustly brewed coffee and tea, as well as a variety of finger sandwiches and mingle with other guests over high tea. And of course, no NECA International Women’s Day celebration is complete without laughter, we have secured nationally recognised comedian Doug Chapel to make us laugh out loud as we get together to celebrate this great cause.
