Nest Box Survey

Join us in checking on the 200 nest boxes we installed at Spring Plains NCR to monitor the populations of small mammals.

200 nest boxes have been installed at the site of an ambitious watershed repair project at Spring Plains Nature Conservation Reserve. These boxes need to be monitored to see what species are occupying them and present at the site. The boxes are designed specifically for Gliders and Phascogales as our goal is to provide habitat for the at-risk Brush-Tailed Phascogale. Using a pole camera we can directly view what lives in the boxes and record our data.
