Neurodivergent individuals have unique ways of thinking, learning, and experiencing the world, which may differ from societal norms but are equally valid. This workshop offers a holistic understanding of neurodiversity. It explores the variety of thinking styles and cognitive differences, challenging traditional views of mental health. Participants will be empowered to embrace inclusive, empathetic, and strength-based approaches that honor the strengths and individuality of every person.

As a result of this training, participants will be able to:

Describe neurodiversity’s relevance to ADHD, anxiety, and depression.

Apply a strengths-based view of neurodivergent experiences.

Implement strategies for creating inclusive environments.

Utilize neurodiversity affirming care in mental health treatment.
