Neurodiversity workshops
Event description
Learn more about neurodiversity and neurodivergence, the challenges it can pose for learners, and how to put support in place.
You can register for each of the workshops individually.
A special rate is available for those who register for all four workshops.

Workshop 1 | Autism | Supporting learner success
Date: Tuesday, 5 August 2025, 12.10pm - 1pm
This workshop will use the guidelines to help participants develop a deeper understanding of the specific challenges autistic tertiary learners face, and explore strategies that can support autistic learners to have a more positive tertiary experience.
Workshop 2 | Dyspraxia | Supporting learner success
Date: Tuesday, 12 August 2025, 12.10pm - 1pm
In this workshop we will look at what may be happening in the brain of your learner with dyspraxia/DCD and explore ways you can support these learners so everyone has a better experience in your teaching and learning space.
Workshop 3 | ADHD | Supporting learner success
Date: Tuesday, 20 August 2025, 12.10pm - 1pm
This workshop will help participants develop a deeper understanding of the specific challenges tertiary learners with ADHD face, and explore strategies that can support them to have a more positive learning experience.
Workshop 4 | Dyslexia | Fostering metacognitive strategies
Date: Tuesday, 26 August 2025, 12.10pm - 1pm
In this workshop we will explore how to support learners in developing metacognitive strategies.

Billing information
We accept payments by card or by invoice. At checkout you will be able to choose your payment option. Invoices are raised by Massey University on behalf of Ako Aotearoa so please note that there will be a delay between registering for the event and receiving the invoice.
PLEASE NOTE: Invoices are limited to payment from registered tertiary organisations only
If you would like to pay by invoice, before registering, please find out from your finance team:
- the billing address and the email address you would like the invoice sent to.
- whether or not you require a purchase number, if a purchase order number is required, please email accounts@ako.ac.nz after registering with the order number in the subject line.
Registering for others?
If you are registering other people, please make sure to select 'Email tickets to each attendee' on the registration form so that each person receives their unique access to the online course/workshop.
Registrations close two days before the course date.
