Description

Welcome to NeuroSpicy Mummas Women's Circle.

This neuroaffirming support group is an inclusive place for women navigating the beautifully complex reality of neurodivergence - whether personally, relationally or through motherhood- to connect without judgement and build a community without expectation.

Join us at the park beachside exactly as you are, as we speak from the heart, explore the real stuff that comes with neurodivergent womanhood, learn through psychoeducation, and engage in light movement to anchor us in the body.

WHEN: 8.30 am - Last Saturday of the month.

WHERE: Tim Simpson Park, Southside of the Mullallo Swell Cafe.

COST: First time is FREE, $15 for returning women.

What to expect:

  • NeuroSpicy Mummas is a peer support, connection and psychoeducational group, exploring mental health, neurodivergence, relationships, parenting and other personal experiences.

  • We will explore the real stuff that comes with neurodivergent womanhood: ADHD and Autism, late diagnosis, identity, masking and burnout, executive dysfunction, sensory overload, emotional regulation, motherhood, relationships, hormones, self-compassion and learning how to work with your brain instead of constantly fighting against it.

  • There is no pressure to talk. You can share your story, ask questions, join the conversation or just listen.

  • Respect for each journey. Whether you were diagnosed as a child, discovered ADHD or Autism at 40, are currently seeking assessment, or have only recently started wondering "Could this be me?" — your experience is respected.

  • Respect for your choice. Medication? No medication? Still deciding? That’s your choice; we are here to learn from one another, share experiences and support women in making the choices that are right for them.

  • Your mental health and emotional well-being matter; it's a space where you can put down the basket of burdens and exhale.

  • Privacy is honoured; What is shared within the group stays within the group. Our community is built around confidentiality, compassion, curiosity and respect. We understand that every woman who walks through the door brings her own history, challenges, strengths and experiences.

WHAT TO BRING: Come with things to make yourself comfortable and at ease.

Bring your mat or towel to sit on, your fav fidget, a drink and maybe your best mate.

Come as you are. Your NeuroSpicy brain is welcome here. 🌶️

A Note about Support

NeuroSpicy mummas is a peer support, connection and psychoeducational group, exploring mental health, neurodivergence, relationships, parenting and other personal expreinces.

The group sessions are not counselling or therapy and not intended to replace incividual psychological or mental health care.

We recognise that some conversations or topics may bring up difficult emotions or experiences. You are always welcome to step away, take a break, choose not to participate in a discussion, or speak privately with the facilitator if you need support.

If something discussed within the group highlights that you may benefit from additional professional or clinical support, referral information and appropriate support services can be provided. We encourage members to seek individual professional support whenever their needs extend beyond what can appropriately be offered within a peer support group.

Our aim is not to provide therapy, but to create a compassionate community where women can connect, learn, feel understood and know where to turn when additional support is needed.

If you are experiencing an immediate mental health crisis or are concerned about your safety or the safety of another person, please contact an appropriate emergency or crisis service rather than relying on the group for crisis support.
