New Exhibitions
Description
M16 Artspace is pleased to announce the opening of three new exhibitions.
Opening Thursday 2nd July, 6 - 8pm
This is a free event!
Gallery 1 | Embodied Trauma
Keziah Craven
Through collaborative, ethics‑approved research, Embodied Trauma uses wearable art to translate the lived experiences of sexual assault survivors into sculptural forms. This exhibition by Keziah Craven offers a visual and tactile language for trauma, foregrounding resilience, agency, and the power of embodied storytelling.
Gallery 2 | Friends
Anna Bonshek
Anna Bonshek’s exhibition Friends, through installations and painting of herself and colleagues, explores deep connection, memory and meaning. Inspired by bush, stone, shared journeys, rhythms of life, the interdependent ecosystems of earth, water, air, and forest, Friends acknowledges the importance of human experience, intervention, interdependency and connection.
Gallery 3 | Guide to Surreal Urbias
Eliott June O’Dowd
Inspired by plants and influenced by O’Dowd’s journey to project their artistic voice, Guide to Surreal Urbias investigates a relationship between the real and imagined. The artist reinterprets colours and forms observed in the world into a making of his own. The collection is an ode to growth, observation and memory, driven by process and expressed through the abstract, the contrasting and the loosely figurative.
