When the chutes crack open and the dust starts to roll, the East Pilbara will come together once again to celebrate community, Rodeo pride, and the Pilbara way of life that makes this place so unique. Families, competitors, visitors, and locals will gather side‑by‑side as the arena comes alive in a way Newman hasn’t felt for years.

The Newman Rodeo has a long and proud history, having brought the community together for many years prior to COVID. In 2026, the tradition enters an exciting new chapter as Karlayura Rodeo Inc. hosts the event for the first time, proudly affiliated with the Australian Bushmen’s Campdraft & Rodeo Association (ABCRA). This year honours the legacy of the past while ushering in a fresh era of rodeo action in the East Pilbara.

This event is proudly supported by the Shire of East Pilbara, helping bring high‑quality, community‑driven events to the heart of the region.

✔ Full Points Rodeo Competition – Elite riders take on bulls, broncs, barrels, and the arena with grit, skill, and outback determination.

The Bradley Hall Band fires up straight after the last bull of the day. The dust settles. The arena lights shift. And Newman keeps going.

But here’s what means the most Bradley didn’t just take a booking. He offered his support, backing a local event with his own music. That’s community looking after community, and we don’t take it lightly.

Camping options will be available through the Shire of East Pilbara, offering convenient accommodation for visitors travelling in for the event. Further details and booking information will be released via the Shire’s visitor channels.

🚌 Transport – FREE Shuttle Service

This is a FREE shuttle service proudly sponsored by NorthFleet. Tickets are required so we can confirm bus numbers based on demand.

Departures to the Rodeo Grounds

Buses will depart from:

• Red Sands

• Newman Visitor Centre

🕛 Departure times: 12pm, 1pm, and 2pm Tickets are essential to ensure we have enough capacity for all passengers.

Return Services to Town

Return buses will run at:

• 7:30pm

• 8:30pm

• 9:30pm

This service is provided to support safe, easy travel for attendees and ensure everyone can enjoy the event without transport concerns.
