Come and make art! Join local artist Jessica Ann Leffley (BirdGirl Creations) to create a multimedia portrait of a bat, moth or frog.

This event is being held as part of Lithgow Transformation Hub's activities for the Great Southern Bioblitz. This is a citizen science event that runs from November 24-27. 

After you've enjoyed unleashing your creative side, you can pop over to the Vale Community Hall and learn about the very creatures you've been drawing at our Night Life launch event. (Register separately for each event).

About Bird Girl Creations (Jessica Ann Leffley)

Jessica Ann Leffley is a Lithgow based Wiradjuri woman, both an artist and primary school teacher, who expresses her imaginations and interactions of Australian native birds through drawing and painting. Her birds have been exhibited at various galleries and to her delight, have found homes throughout Australia. Leffley sees birds as her friends, she talks to them as she peers outside her studio window admiring the Black Cockatoos, King Parrots and Rainbow Lorikeets that sing to her while she creates. Her birds bring her comfort and joy, while also challenging her to explore her creativity and to appreciate the landscapes she knows as home. 

This event is being funded under the Black Summer Bushfire Recovery Grants Program which is an initiative of the  Commonwealth Government- National Recovery and Resilience Agency.
