SHOWCASE, EXPERIENCE, CELEBRATE!

The best surf films from Australia and around the world will be screened at Noosa Event Cinemas followed by Q&A sessions featuring your favourite surfers and film makers. Expect a vibrant festival club at New York Minute in the heart of Noosa Junction. Share stories, join thought provoking forums and connect with surf film makers and industry leaders.

The international surf film industry is flush with talent and the best will be on show in Noosa. Think inspiring surf stories, phenomenal surf cinematography, original music and the latest technology.

Expect to be part of a truly international event!

All films screened are in the running for any of the Awards: Best Short, Best Feature, and Best Cinematography.

The full program with all films will be announced on 1st July. The program outline looks like this:

Thursday 08 August 6pm:

Opening Night: A selection of Short films - Q&A - Intermission - Feature film - Q&A - End.

Move to The Festival Club at New York Minute and mix & mingle with the filmmakers and VIP guests.

Friday 9th August 6pm: More short films in the running for Best Short Film Award - Q&A - Intermission - Feature Film - Q&A-End.

The Festival Club @New York Minute will be ramping up the vibe, as it's Friday night!

Saturday 10 August 6pm: More short films in the running for Best Short Film Award - Q&A - Intermission - Feature Film - Q&A-End.

The NOOSA International Surfilm Festival is a dedicated gathering for surfers and enthusiasts of surf culture and our precious oceans. Our aim is to celebrate and explore the rich surf culture that has been an integral part of the Noosa region for many years. Expect to be embraced!

Expect to see screenings of the best, current surf films on offer; inspiring shorts and feature length surf films from around the world. Expect live music. Expect thought provoking forums. Expect to meet your surf and film making heroes, be challenged and have your mind blown!

We bring together Australian and international surf film makers & artists to showcase their work, providing a platform for diverse influences on surf culture, from around the surfing world. Filmmakers, artists and influential figures from the surfing world will be present to offer valuable perspectives and personal anecdotes. Expect to be part of a truly international event!

In addition to celebrating surf culture and the arts, our festival is committed to raising awareness of environmental and social issues. Teaming up with the Noosa World Surfing Reserve and the Surfrider Foundation Australia, we are committed to providing our support to raising awareness of environmental and sustainable practices.
