2026 Savanna Fire Forum and National Indigenous Carbon Forum

The Indigenous Carbon Industry Network (ICIN) is delighted to invite you to the hugely anticipated 2026 Savanna Fire Forum (SFF) and National Indigenous Carbon Forum (NICF). Combining both events into one week reflects the growing interest and importance of the Indigenous carbon industry beyond the savanna. It is a privilege to host these events in the spirit of supporting knowledge sharing, partnerships and collaboration among Indigenous land managers.

In its eighth year, the 2026 Savanna Fire Forum is held in partnership with Charles Darwin University (CDU) and for the first time, ICIN will co-locate Australia’s leading savanna fire gathering with the 2nd National Indigenous Carbon Forum.

The Savanna Fire Forum is a well-established event that supports Indigenous leadership in savanna fire management, fosters knowledge sharing and promotes best practice. The National Indigenous Carbon Forum addresses broader carbon methods beyond savanna fire management relevant to Indigenous proponents, highlights Indigenous rights and interests in carbon across Australia, and supports opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to actively manage their Country.
