NTEL 2022 register for League of Legends 5v5
Before you register, it is good to understand what NTEL is and what our goals are. Please take the time to read this quick intro to NTEL!
The Northern Territory Esports League (NTEL for short) was developed as a means to provide esports competition to local esports enthusiasts in the NT with the focus of being NT based. Through this we build a stronger esports community!
NTGE aims to run a professional, fun, safe and inclusive esports season with a variety of popular game titles which players and teams register to play on a week to week or monthly basis. Points are accumulated by teams and players to determine who goes on to play in the grand finals event which is generally held in Sept- Oct (will be announced) in the year.
The League Wide Awards (LWAs) are also included as a means to award and recognise achievement and excellence in our esports season. This means by entering NTEL you are eligible to win one of these prestigious awards which range from Integrity awards, Mastery awards and event Entertainer and hype awards! These are in line with our goals which are listed below.
Our goals are and not limited to;
- Building a strong community
- Fostering new opportunities for upcoming youth
- Rewarding excellence and achievement

Tickets
This ticket is purchased as a team ticket. For League of Legends 5v5 it is ($25 per person) or $125 per team.
Note: These funds are collected and help NTGE run the season, pay for necessary costs, subcontractors, production, trophies and awards! Prize pool+ bonus prizes are generally based on sponsorship funding.
Captains must purchase ticket on behalf of entire team.
Teams can only have 1 diamond+ player and all other players must be at least silver 4. This ruling will be taken from the players final rank from last season. If they have not been ranked before, they must be at least lvl 60. 2 out of 5 players must be NT based or have been previously.
Teams can have up to two FREE substitutes and one last minute substitute (a last minute substitute can be not listed on official registration but will be locked in as an official substitute and expending their last minute substitute slot). Players from other teams cannot substitute for other teams. If a substitute is diamond+, the opposing team must agree to them playing.
Subs are not awarded prizes such as prize money/ trophies however can be provided to based on their contribution to the season and is at the captain's decision.
You must have a team prior to entering, if you do not have a team here are some steps you can follow;
- Head to the NTGE Discord and message the group that you are looking for a team.
- Also head to the NT Gaming and Esports Community (NTGEC) and put a post up saying you are looking to join a team for NTEL 2022. Be sure to be specific in game title, roles you are looking for etc. If you need further assistance you can reach out to us as NTGE and we can help you.
- From here you will be able to meet and converse with others that are looking for a team also. Most teams are actually built this way just by reaching out to the community!

Division Management (previously called Tournament Organisers)
Division manager's work on behalf of NTGE to assist with the running and management of a particular game. They are the teams and players main point of contact for things such as;
- General first contact for team captains/ players in the season
- Game time confirmation/ schedule etc
- Helping with the streams and broadcasting
- Notify of any subs playing
- Any general questions about the season
- Disputes and complaints
- Providing onboarding steps such as communication platform, handbook etc.
As a team captain, you need to have direct communication with the Division manager in case any of the above need to be addressed.
Your first point of call is your Division Manager who for this game is 'Billy W' who can be contacted on Facebook.
Please be respectful towards the Division Manager.

5 Step process for securing your spot in NTEL
- Purchase your game ticket for 'League of Legends - 'Team entry' This is done via Humanatix (this site).
- Fill in the registration section (again on this site), accepting all terms and conditions, rules, code of conduct etc.
- You will get a confirmation once this is complete followed by a further email with a ticket.
- Like and follow the Next Tier Gaming & Esports Facebook Page so you are kept up to date + join the NTGE Discord for further updates also.
- Join necessary 'Captain's chat' which will be a dedicated chat for all captains in the division who will communicate to Division Manager Billy Willing.
Your division manager may reach out to you so please be ready for a call or message.
Few more things to note:
- NTGE management/ division managers will need to cross check payment via Humanatix prior to any registration's being accepted.
- Humanatix will state this as a single event however your entry is for the entire week to week/ month to month season. You will get a notification by Humanatix that the event is starting soon.

PRIZE POOL & TROPHIES!
It's good to know what you are battling for to keep you and/ or your team motivated.
This year we were able to secure sponsorship to be able to provide a minimum prize pool!
For 'League of Legends 5v5' the starting minimum prize pool is approx. $1500
- 1st place - Team receives 60% of total prize pool in prize money + Team Gold NTEL trophy + medals + Certificate!
- 2d place - Team receives 30% in prize money + Team Silver NTEL trophy + medals + Certificate!
- 3rd place - Team receives 10% in prize money + medals + Certificate!
An example of the above would look like this based on a $1500 total prize ;
1st place - 60% = $900
2nd place - 30% = $450
3rd place - 10% = $150
League of Legends exclusive! MVP/ SVP match rewards!
We also want to reward a player that performs well in each game with MVP (most valuable player on winning team) and SVP (second most valuable player on losing team). This means, you have a chance to win something each game!! We will be noting down these players each game and you will be rewarded your prize by the Division manager.
As mentioned above, this prize pool is 'starting at' meaning it can increase with further sponsorship and donations of support! You have the ability to donate extra to the prize pool when you purchase your ticket. Also spectators/ friends can donate also via the stream to support the season and add to the prize pool! This is then announced to build hype and excitement!
Prize pool Tier:
- Bronze Tier- $1500 (starting level!)
- Silver Tier - $2000
- Gold Tier - $2500
This is an outline of potential prize pool we could achieve. This is not guaranteed however it gives us a good target to try to aim for with this and future seasons to come.
