Take a gentle pause from the busyness of everyday life and reconnect with nature in the beautiful surrounds of Cooper Park.

Drawing inspiration from the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku (Forest Bathing), these guided Forest Therapy experiences combine evidence-informed practices with mindful nature connection to support wellbeing.

  • What is Forest Therapy?

    Forest Therapy is a guided practice inspired by the Japanese tradition of Shinrin-yoku (Forest Bathing).

    Through a series of gentle invitations, you'll slow down, engage your senses and experience a deeper connection with nature, yourself and others.

  • Do I need to be fit?

    No. This is a gentle, slow-paced experience covering approximately 1.5km over three hours, with plenty of opportunities to pause, rest and connect with nature.

  • What should I bring?

    Comfortable walking shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, a water bottle and anything else you'll need to be comfortable outdoors.

    A reminder email with more details will be sent during the week of the walk.

  • What happens if it rains?

    Forest Therapy can be a beautiful experience in light rain. If severe weather is forecast, you'll be contacted with any changes.

  • I've never done Forest Therapy before. Is that okay?

    Absolutely. No previous experience is needed. You'll be gently guided throughout the experience.

  • Can I bring a friend?

    Absolutely. You can reserve a place on behalf of a friend or family member. Please make sure each participant's name, mobile number and emergency contact details are included in the booking.
