OCEAN LOVERS FESTIVAL - Ideas - Deep Blue Impact: Stories and Strategies for Ocean Conservation
Fostering Meaningful Alliances for Ocean Conservation
Dive into Deep Blue Impact, an unforgettable evening that combines powerful storytelling with forward-thinking strategies to champion ocean conservation. Hosted by the Ocean Lovers Festival and presented in collaboration with the Australian Marine Conservation Society, Patagonia, Sarah & Sebastian, Surfers for Climate, Ocean Impact Organisation, and Four Pines Brewery, this event offers a unique blend of inspiration and action.
The evening kicks off with a curated selection of short films that celebrate the wonder of our oceans while addressing the critical challenges they face. These stories will highlight the delicate balance of marine ecosystems, human impacts, and the innovative solutions leading the way in ocean preservation.
Following the film showcase, join a thought-provoking panel led by Tim Silverwood, co-founder of Ocean Impact Organisation, on how businesses and nonprofits can collaborate beyond funding to drive real ocean conservation. This session will explore building impactful partnerships, activating communities, and leveraging creative resources for sustainable solutions.
Hear from passionate ocean advocates and industry leaders, including Patagonia Ambassador Belinda Baggs, 4 Pines’ Sarah Turner, Sarah & Sebastian’s Phoebe Younger, Surfers for Climate’s Josh Kirkman, and Phil Hargrave-Smith from the Australian Marine Conservation Society, as they share insights on making a lasting impact for our ocean.
