Ocean Wonders: A coastal discovery walk

Come learn about the Great Southern Reef and seagrass ecosystems.
Join Chloe, Coast and Seas Officer at Green Adelaide and City of Marion staff, for a discovery walk along Hallett Cove beach.
During this walk you will learn about:
The Great Southern Reef (what it is and why it is important)
Why we have historically lost seagrass and kelp forests along the metropolitan coast
What action you can take (community restoration programs)
What species you observe on your beach walk
Event times and audiences:
10 am to 11:15 am Thursday 9 October - Families
5:30 pm to 6:45 pm Thursday 16 October - Adults and families
10 am to 11:15 am Tuesday 21 October - Adults

During this beach walk, we may come across deceased marine life. Please consider your wellbeing and physical health and join only if you feel comfortable doing so.
We won't be providing an update on the current harmful algal bloom. For the latest information and health advice, please visit the South Australian Government’s Harmful Algal Bloom webpage.
To protect the health of our community, this event may need to be altered or cancelled at short notice. We will be monitoring beach conditions closely and will contact you promptly if the event is cancelled.
