October Meditation + Befriending Anxiety Talk
Event description
Come along to our free monthly meditation class, which will be held at Umina Beach from 10am - 11.30am on Sunday, October 29th.
We are really pleased to have Nat Mallia guide our meditation this month. Nat teaches meditation regularly around the Coast, and has recently returned from a study retreat in Nepal in order to further her Buddhist studies.
After the guided meditation, Nat will lead a talk on Befriending Anxiety.
Anxiety can be one of those things that help energise us to get through our to do list with a sense of urgency...
Or it can be debilitating, have you feeling on edge and nervous about what's coming up, or replaying a conversation that didn't go so well.
During this month's talk, Nat will share insights and techniques that you can use to loosen the grip that anxiety has on your life, and even see it as a friend that's there to help and guide you.
This meditation and talk is suitable for beginners, and also for experienced meditators who wish to enhance their practice. You are welcome to sit on a cushion or a chair.
The entry is free, but donations are welcome to help us continue to offer classes and workshops, and periodically invite Tibetan Buddhist teachers to give teachings. The suggested donation for a session is $15.
You are welcome to stay afterwards for a cuppa and chat, and if you can, please bring along something to share for morning tea. We look forward to seeing you there!
