Around 1 in 3 young people in Australia are experiencing high or very high levels of psychological distress with rates of both depression and anxiety continuing to increase, despite the best efforts of the mental health sector and government over many years. Most concerningly, the latest research shows that 1 in 20 young people are experiencing high or very high levels of suicidal ideation.
