A night of connection, laughter and letting loose
Come with friends or come solo. Either way, you’ll leave with sore feet, a full heart and hopefully a few new friends. Cowgirl boots encouraged.
Being a mum is incredible. It’s also exhausting.
Between the school lunches, endless washing, invisible mental load and juggling everyone else’s needs, it’s easy to forget what it feels like to simply have fun.
That’s why UKOO and the women behind the Ready or Not podcast have come together to create Boot Scoot & Let Loose. An evening dedicated to connection, laughter and giving yourself permission to put you first.
Hosted at Thornbury Theatre, the night will begin with a welcome from Dr Edna Lekgabe before Lauren, Lucinda and UKOO co-founder Fatuma Ndenzako share an honest conversation about motherhood, identity and making space for yourself.
Then it’s time to hit the dance floor.
With only 100 tickets available, this intimate event is expected to sell out quickly.
We can’t wait to see you there.

Lauren Treweek and Lucinda McKimm are the hosts and co-founders of the Ready or Not podcast, one of Australia's leading conversations on motherhood, ambition and modern family life. Together, they've built a thriving community by giving voice to the realities of balancing careers, identity and raising children, without pretending anyone has it all figured out. Known for their warmth, honesty and humour, Lauren and Lucinda create conversations that make women feel seen, understood and less alone. Through their podcast, live events and growing community, they champion honest storytelling, meaningful connection and a more realistic conversation about what it means to navigate work and motherhood today.

Fatuma Ndenzako | Co-Founder of UKOO Family Body Care
Fatuma Ndenzako is one of the founders of UKOO, an Australian family body care brand redefining everyday rituals through connection, care and community. Inspired by community, heritage and years of experience building purpose-led brands, they created UKOO with a simple belief: the smallest moments of care can have the greatest impact. Their microbiome-friendly products are thoughtfully formulated for every generation, transforming daily routines into opportunities to slow down, reconnect and care for one another. Beyond body and skincare, Fatuma is passionate community builders, creating spaces where families, founders and women can come together through honest conversations, meaningful experiences and shared stories. Their work is rooted in the Swahili meaning of UKOO "extended family" a philosophy that guides everything they do.

Dr Edna Lekgabe | Perinatal and Reproductive Psychiatrist
Dr Edna Lekgabe is a perinatal and reproductive psychiatrist, founder and clinical director of WARM Health Collective, and a passionate advocate for creating spaces where women feel seen, supported and understood. With a background spanning medicine, psychiatry and women’s health, Dr Edna brings a compassionate, evidence-based approach to understanding the emotional and psychological experiences of womanhood, motherhood and life transitions. She believes meaningful care begins with listening, honouring each person’s unique story, identity and circumstances. Through her work supporting women through pregnancy, early parenthood, hormonal changes and the many seasons of life, Dr Edna is dedicated to breaking down the stigma around mental health and reminding women that seeking support is a powerful act of self-care and connection. For this special evening, Dr Edna will join us as our host, guiding conversations around community, connection, motherhood and the importance of giving ourselves permission to pause, reconnect and be cared for.

Kitty & Lu | Disco Rodeo Boot Scooting
Kitty and Lu are the duo behind Disco Rodeo Boot Scooting, a Melbourne-based boot scooting community built on big energy, great music, outrageous outfits and the belief that everyone deserves a moment to let loose. Partners in scooting and life, Lu brings her love of dance and movement, while Kitty brings the fun, the fashion and the fearless commitment to making every night a celebration. Together, they have created a space where beginners and seasoned dancers alike can step onto the dance floor, leave their inhibitions behind and find joy in moving together. With their signature mix of country classics, disco favourites and unapologetically fun playlists, Disco Rodeo has built a community where connection comes first, where you don’t need to know the steps, own the boots or have any dance experience to join in. For this special evening, Kitty and Lu will bring their infectious energy, expert guidance and a whole lot of boot scooting magic, creating the perfect excuse for mums to step away from the everyday, gather with friends and give themselves permission to dance, laugh and let loose.
