Open Maker Workshop - Soldering: Light-Up Christmas Tree

Open Maker Workshops are facilitator-led sessions that guide you through creating a project as a hands-on learning experience. 

In this workshop, we focus on the fundamentals of soldering, teaching you essential tips and tricks for using our soldering equipment. By the end, you'll take home a light-up Christmas tree as the result of your efforts.

These workshops are a great way to explore the Makerspace equipment, connect with the creative community, and start your passion for designing, crafting, and all things making. Join us and explore 3D modelling, die cutting, and laser cutting!

Free for adults aged 16+ years.

Open Maker Workshops are a facilitator-led experience. If you have some Makerspace experience and are looking for a self-led program where you work on your own project, we recommend booking one of our Open Maker sessions. The purpose of our service is to support community learning and prototyping small quantities, as we are a non-commercial organisation. Please note that during the workshop, the Makerspace is closed for personal project use and focused on the facilitator’s activity.
