Open Range Sunday: A Day of Art at Taft Gardens

On Sunday, June 15th, Studio Channel Islands Art Center is proud to offer an exciting opportunity to tour Taft Garden's and explore the exceptional spaces which have inspired our latests exhibition Nature's Art.
Taft Gardens and Nature Preserve is set in the secluded Santa Ana Canyon, Ojai. The site is managed by The Conservation Endowment Fund whose mission is to educate the public about our shared environmental heritage, preserve endangered resources and explore our relationship with the world around us.
The gardens are 15 acres of curated spaces, with beautifully planted rare and endangered species and vistas of the surrounding mountains. The day will commence with a guided tour by Cassandra C. Jones, Artist and Arts Chair at Taft Gardens.
Taft Gardens hosts multiple artists in residence, currently this includes Eliot Spaulding a multi disciplinary artist from Santa Barbara and Andrew Bird a multi-instrumental singer-songwriter from Ojai.

We have boxed lunches available for advance purchase, and hot/cold coffee and espresso drinks on site.
Taft Garden has an array of planted zones including a South African Garden, Australian Garden, Art Studios, Pollinator Garden and Walking Meditation Labyrinth.

Taft Gardens and Nature Preserve is located at the end of private residential road and can only be accessed for events by reservation. Please click here to see the location on a map.
