"There's something very special about watching plein air artists at their craft. When I see it, it slows me down, takes me back in time. We are living in a fast-paced, digital world,so to see someone taking the time to notice light, edge, shadow, and calmly build thie representation in real time is incredibly satisfying and nostalgic, and brings joy and awe." - Jennifer Jones, Open Range Artist

All artists and lovers of nature are welcome! Writers, photographers, filmmakers, sculptors, illustrators, painters, printmakers, musicians, dancers +

Taft Gardens hosts multiple artists in residence, currently this includes Eliot Spaulding a multi disciplinary artist from Santa Barbara and Andrew Bird a multi-instrumental singer-songwriter from Ojai.

SCIart is grateful to Taft Gardens for the opportunity to host this celebration of our art and ranching community.
