As the sun sets over Rotorua, experience an unforgettable evening of world-class opera, music, culture and powerful storytelling at Opera in the Pā 2026.
This year, the much-loved event comes to the natural amphitheatre of Tangatarua Marae at Toi Ohomai, bringing together acclaimed rising opera stars Samson Setu, Chris McRae, Joshua Futi and Rotorua-born soprano Grace McCarthy-Sinclair.
They’ll be joined by a combined Rotorua schools’ choir in a spectacular celebration of Māori, Pasifika and rangatahi voices.
