As the sun sets over Rotorua, experience an unforgettable evening of world-class opera, music, culture and powerful storytelling at Opera in the Pā 2026.

This year, the much-loved event comes to the natural amphitheatre of Tangatarua Marae at Toi Ohomai, bringing together acclaimed rising opera stars Samson Setu, Chris McRae, Joshua Futi and Rotorua-born soprano Grace McCarthy-Sinclair.

They’ll be joined by a combined Rotorua schools’ choir in a spectacular celebration of Māori, Pasifika and rangatahi voices.

With just 400 tickets available, this intimate one-night-only experience is not to be missed.

Come early, enjoy kai from the food trucks on site, and prepare for an evening filled with extraordinary talent, rich culture and the unmistakable wairua of Rotorua.
