The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital is hosting an Ophthalmology Nurse Study Day The course will include the following topics:
- Anatomy and physiology of the eye
- Basic ophthalmic nursing
- Diabetes and ophthalmology
- Common vitreo retinal conditions
- Ophthalmic assessment
- Glaucoma
- Cataracts
- Ophthalmic medications
- Pre and Post op ophthalmology care
- Caring for patient with low vision
At the completion of this study day, participants will be able to:
- Identify and discuss ophthalmic anatomy and physiology.
- Revise and expand their knowledge and understanding of sudden loss of vision, common eye conditions.
