Event description

Feeling burnt out, overwhelmed, or weighed down? Struggling with your mental health? Feel exhausted at the thought of attending ANOTHER networking event where you have to show up professional and polished, bring your A-game and interact with people only at the surface level?

What if there was an event ...

... where you could just show up with no pressure or expectation.

... where you could connect with a bunch of other humans who are just after the same thing as you: meaningful, real conversations.

... where you could hear from someone else who's been through what you're going through, and can help give you some tools to navigate it.

Well, there is! And it's happening on Friday 11th April at 7.00am in Takapuna.

What to expect

Start the day with a grounding, yin-style outdoor yoga session led by Kim West. Afterwards, Kim will share more about her personal experience with burnout and we'll have a kōrero as a group about how things are going for us right now.

If it is raining on the day, we'll postpone the event to another time, but we'll still be around at the Takapuna Beach Cafe if you want to come along anyway and grab a coffee and chat with us. Your ticket will still be valid for the future event.

Please arrive outside the Takapuna Beach Cafe at 6.45am for a 7.00am start. The yoga class will run for approximately 45 minutes, after which Kim will share her story with us for about 15 minutes or so. After this you are welcome to leave if you need, or you can hang around with us for another half an hour and chat.

What to bring
Your own yoga mat and a drink bottle. We will have a few spare yoga mats just in case someone forgets to bring theirs, but will unfortunately not have enough for the whole group.

Where does your money go?
Your ticket will be used to reimburse Kim for her time and energy in running the yoga class for us, and if there's anything left over it will be donated to the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand.

Why is there a ticket limit?

We want to foster an intimate space where everyone has a chance to connect and not feel to overwhelmed, so spots are limited to a maximum of 15 people. If you purchase a ticket and are unable to attend, we ask that you please request a refund ASAP so that we can open up your spot to someone on the waitlist.

Inclusivity & accessibility

We are an inclusive community and strive to make our events as inclusive as possible for everyone who attends. You can read our community guidelines here. If you have accessibility needs, please speak to us about how we can make this work for you.
