Pages to Poses: A Life Drawing & Sip Evening

Machans Beach Hall, Cairns
Friday 7 November, 5.30 - 8.30pm

Paint and sip, but with some Books & Chooks sparkle ✨

Okay chooks, this one’s a bit different! Pages to Poses is a night of live life drawing, storytelling and connection. Idge will read passages from some of our favourite books, and our live model will bring each one to life in a pose for you to sketch. Every pose tells a story, and you get to capture it.

No art skills needed, we promise! Whether you haven’t picked up a pencil since high school or you draw every day, this night is all about having a go, having a giggle and meeting some new girls.

What's included

Guided session with local artist Leandra Willis
All your drawing materials
Dress up your drink station: whip up your own mocktail with our garnishes & mixers, or top up your BYO drink!
Glasses provided
Conversation starters, so no awkward silences here!
Giveaways on the night

Why we're doing this

We started Books & Chooks because we wanted to go to the kinds of events we couldn’t find, and we’ve loved watching our book club girls become real friends. Pages to Poses is our next little experiment.... a creative, low-pressure night to switch off, try something new and leave with a few new besties.
