Painting Masterclass with Carol Barnett
Event description
Designed for emerging and experienced artists, this workshop offers a chance to connect with the landscape in a personal and intuitive way. Through plein air studies using materials like ink, graphite, charcoal, acrylic or oils, you'll explore ideas on paper, in a journal or on canvas. Carol will help you grow these initial impressions into a confident, expressive body of work.
Bring your own painting kit such as acrylics, oils or mixed media including a blank page journal suitable for jotting down ideas and sketching.

Carol Barnett is an Australian artist, living and working in Tasmania/lutruwita. Carol works in large traditional format paintings, using the landscapes of lutruwita as her muse, and as a metaphor to explore ideas and themes of colonization. Nature provides an unlimited amount of inspiration of colour, shapes, and form, which is captured through an abstract lens on the canvas.
