PAK’nSAVE Papanui Foodstuffs South Island New Store Build - Post-Implementation Review
Event description
Note: This is a Hybrid Event:
- In-Person Location: Retropolitan Social, 255 Saint Asaph Street
- Online: Online registrations closes 4 PM the day before. The Zoom URL will be sent shortly after.
About the Event:
This Project delivered a state-of-the-art supermarket to the Papanui and wider community area, while offering customers a spacious and contemporary shopping experience.
The store's design incorporated the latest sustainability innovations and is equipped to continuously trade for three days in the event of an emergency or natural disaster.
The change in IL3 (Seismic Rating) design was the key to resource consent approval, given the objections from Council and the NZTA.
All stakeholders interviewed were extremely proud of the project outcome. Although the project had many challenges and core team members experienced heavy pressure right up to and after opening, the unanimous feeling was that the entire team was dedicated and focused on the achieving the opening day milestone.
About the Presenter:
Greg Dick has been a Project Manager at Foodstuffs South Island (FSSI) for 15 years and since 2016 has been involved in the opening of a number of new stores across the south island across the range of FSSI banners, including New World, Four Square, and others.
His role in these new builds, or new store openings, as Project Delivery Manager to support and lead the Project Team and act as conduit through to the Steering Committee in conjunction with the Property Project Manager.
This event is open to both PMI members and non-members - everyone is welcome! This is a free event and a small charge for non-members, but space is limited, so be sure to secure your spot by registering.
