- Simple techniques
- Dyeing options
- Preserving your artwork
Participants will go home with a pandanus bookmark or other creation and the skills to continue exploring their new hobby! While tickets are free, there are limited places so please book carefully.
The Geeveston Art Show's Artist Development Programme is proudly sponsored by Bendigo's Community Bank Huon Valley and is run to provide local artists and aspiring artists the chance to explore their passion. We encourage you to head to Community Bank Huonville's Socials and give them a like, for funding this programme! Please note that locals (Huon Valley) will be given priority for tickets.
Your workshop leader is Leonie, who learned this skill on Norfolk Island from the original settlers and has permission to share it in her classes. Leonie is adept at many weaving and plaiting techniques and loves to share her love of the art with anyone who is interested in learning.
All materials will be provided!
We welcome all ages to our workshops as long as young people are supervised.
