You're Invited to the Parkinson's MOOC Launch!

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our newest Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on Parkinson's disease, developed in collaboration with the Wicking Dementia Centre and the Menzies Institute for Medical Research. This groundbreaking course aims to provide comprehensive knowledge and insights into Parkinson's disease, the fastest-growing neurological condition globally.

This MOOC has been designed to empower individuals living with Parkinson's disease, their support networks, healthcare professionals, and the global community, this MOOC offers comprehensive education and resources to enhance understanding and care for Parkinson’s.

The Parkinson’s MOOC has been funded by the Parkinson’s Research Foundation (PRF), a funding and program-management group founded by Michael Katz and Dr Richard Balanson to provide long-term support to a small number of promising Parkinson’s Disease projects.

Event Details:

Date: Wednesday, 5th February 2025

Time: Doors open at 9.30am for a 10.00am start, morning tea will be provided after the official launch, event to conclude at 11.30am. There will be five presentations during the launch;

  • Parkinson's MOOC goes Live!
  • Global Testimonials and Close

Venue: University of Tasmania, Medical Sciences Precinct, 17 Liverpool Street, Hobart.

Parking: Limited street parking is available around the venue. Alternatively, the Argyle Car Park is just a 5-minute walk from the Centre.
