Presented by Nautanki Theatre Company, the festival features live stage productions, creative community spaces, and literary events across key locations in the city centre.

All events are FREE. Drop in for one session or stay for the whole afternoon and evening. Presented by Parra-Mela 2026 and Nautanki Theatre, Western Sydney's leading South Asian performing arts organisation dedicated to storytelling, culture, community connection and creative expression.
2:00 pm - 2:45 pm | Kids Music & Songs A fun-filled interactive session for children and families featuring music, singing and participation.
3:00 pm - 3:45 pm | Book Talk with Balarka Banerjee & Guest Writers: Meet authors and storytellers as they discuss books, writing journeys and contemporary South Asian stories.
4:00 pm - 4:45 pm | Satrangi Chat Show with Kashif Harrison & Team An engaging live talk show featuring conversations, humour, culture and community stories.
5:00 pm - 5:30 pm | Break Take time to explore Parra-Mela stalls, exhibitions and activities across the festival precinct.
5:30 pm - 7:00 pm | Safety Pin Open Mic Showcase Experience powerful performances from selected poets, storytellers, musicians and spoken-word artists from Western Sydney's vibrant creative community.
7:00 pm - 7:30 pm | Spoken Word with Maanya Sehipal & Neha Natarajan A thought-provoking poetry and spoken-word performance exploring identity, culture, belonging and contemporary life.
7:30 pm - 7:45 pm | Stage Changeover A short transition before the evening's headline music performance.
7:45 pm - 9:00 pm | Saxophone & Music with Noel Andrew. Relax and unwind with a live musical performance blending soulful saxophone melodies and contemporary sounds.
