About the Class:
Create a landscape painting with soft pastels! We’ll start with a simple pencil drawing followed by a watercolor underpainting to set-up shapes and dimensions. From there we will begin using soft pastels working from a focal point out, dark to light to create the mood and capture the colors of the landscape. Students will learn techniques for blending pastels, layering pastels, and how to apply charcoal to soften edges and push areas into the background. For beginner to intermediate pastel painters.

- Soft pastels - any brand; (instructor uses Unison and NuPastel)
- UArt Paper Board - 9'x12" and / or 12" x 16": (instructor uses 500 grit)
