Join us for an exploratory face to face workshop, delivered in collaboration with academics from The University of Sydney and supported by NSW Health.

This is an opportunity to join a forward-thinking conversation on the role of consumer input in shaping the future of healthcare for rare and ultra-rare communities.

During this half-day session, you’ll hear from experts in horizon scanning – the process of identifying and evaluating emerging health technologies – and discuss how community-led approaches, both formal and informal, can contribute to future horizon scanning approaches.

You’ll hear from:

Ann Single – Chief Executive Officer, PVI; Vice-President, HTAi (Member – HTA Policy and Methods Review Reference Committee)

Clare Stuart – Policy & Advocacy Manager, Mito Foundation

Dr Kim Sutherland - Executive Director of the Office for Health and Medical Research (OHMR)

Associate Professor Orin Chisolm – Lead Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Development programs at the University of Sydney

Dr Franz Pichler – Expert, Horizon Scanning, National and International HTA and Health Policy

Dr Paul Fennessy - Expert, Medical Research, National HTA and Health Policy

And more to come!
