I’m a financial counsellor with UnitingSA in Port Adelaide, where I’ve worked for the past 10 years supporting people through financial stress and uncertainty. Before moving into financial counselling, I spent many years in small business as an owner and manager. That experience, along with a strong understanding of the financial pressures and complexities of farming, gives me a practical, real-world perspective on the challenges people face. My career took a different path later in life, allowing me to bring together the skills I’ve built over time with my own lived experience. I find the work both rewarding and a real privilege, especially when I can offer support at a time when it’s most needed. I enjoy sharing knowledge in a straightforward, practical way, and I hope that what I share helps people better understand their finances and reduce stress by feeling more informed and in control.
