Person-Centred Emergency Preparedness (P-CEP) Training | Wagga Wagga
Event description
Everybody needs an emergency plan. This Person-Centred Emergency Preparedness (P-CEP) Training helps you to make your own emergency plan and know how to facilitate preparedness with others.
What is P-CEP?
Person-Centred Emergency Preparedness is a process for people with disability to create a plan for their needs in emergencies.
P-CEP can also help people who are ageing at home, have a mental illness, a chronic health concern, and other support needs. P-CEP was co-designed by people with disability, carers, community organisations, emergency services, and researchers.
Person-Centred Emergency Preparedness (P-CEP) enables people to self-assess their preparedness, capabilities and support needs and develop a personal emergency plan for how they will:
manage their support needs in emergencies; and
act together with their support network before, during, and after a disaster.
This training is targeted at people in our community who are or may need to support someone during a crisis.
