Event description
A Montessori Parent and Child Program is a unique program for families to attend alongside their child. It provides a wonderful opportunity for you, as parents and carers of 0-3 year olds, to have a hands-on experience of the Montessori philosophy in action. Dr Maria Montessori believed that education begins at the moment of birth.
Operated from a purpose-built environment designed specifically for children aged 0 to 3, this program runs during term time and is led by our highly experienced Montessori educator and Director of the MITC.
The carefully and thoughtfully prepared environment supports your child’s natural development, encouraging freedom to touch, manipulate, move, communicate and explore using all their senses.

PARENT & INFANT PROGRAM
Birth to 15 mths or when walking independently
In Infant program, the child has the freedom to explore the environment with all their senses. Movement to support brain development is a focus alongside, the development of language. The parent or carer is free to observe how their child interacts with the environment whilst learning about the benefits of Montessori philosophy during this stage through guided and spontaneous discussions.
