School holiday music workshop for 6 - 10 year olds with Andrea Kirwin

Andrea Kirwin is running a special music workshop afternoon for young aspiring musicians and singers on Tuesday 17 December at Kureelpa Hall on the Sunshine Coast. The 4 hour workshop will be run for ages 6 - 11 and will include singing, songwriting, creating and playing together in groups and performing. The class will be limited to a group of 16 and Andrea will provide writing materials, paper and PA gear for the performance. Parents are welcome to stay and be a part of the workshop too or have tea and coffee and wait at the hall. Please pack some snacks for your child and bring a water bottle. There is a kitchen at the hall with a fridge where we can keep their lunch for hourly snack breaks. If your child plays an instrument they are welcome to bring it along to the workshop. Please arrive at 1pm and the first session will begin at 1.15pm.

As well as being a singer/songwriter and event producer, Andrea has previously taught music (Singing, songwriting and guitar) at Magpie Music in Bega from 2008 - 2011 and worked as a Kid's Camp instructor at Kianniny Cabins from 2008 - 2011. Andrea has also run children's singing and songwriting workshops at Tewantin State School, Baringa State School and up in the Torres Strait at Tangai State School across 7 campuses. Andrea has also worked for 3 years as an assistance dog trainer for Smart Pups Assistant Dogs and worked with children and families with special needs. If your child requires some extra attention and support during these workshops you are welcome to attend and provide that support or if you have a support person they are welcome to attend.
