This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Our March meeting boasts a range of awesome member presentations covering Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the small business owner; the power of better listening; and a special guest presentation by a resilience coach and marathon walker.

Please note that the March meeting at Percy Plunkett, Nepean Village Penrith has been brought forward to Tuesday 26 March due to the Easter holiday break.

A small business owner's perspective on using Artificial Intelligence is the basis for Rachel Amies presentation: "How I use ChatGPT in My Business and How You Can Use it Too!

Rachel's informal and often humourous presentation style will also cover the importance of including your 'voice' in AI outputs.

Dr Sean Botha developed the Listen Program after years of research into how we listen. It became the catalyst for his two ideals in life: "Speak less and listen more”.

Dr Botha will explain the importance of paying attention to what is not being said; looking at how a person is moving and listening not just with your ears, but with your mind and body.

Chris Barton's knowledge of initiating positive change, building resilience,
creating connections and enhancing mental health, was borne from his commitment to help his daughter to overcome her mental health issues (anxiety). His journey revealed that this problem was widespread among teenagers. Last year Chris completed a 130km 24-hour walk from the Blue Mountains to Manly Beach to raise teen mental health awareness and funds for support programs.

This year he has a new challenge - a 30-hour 200km walk. Chris will discuss his new resilience project along with his insights into how small business owners can develop business and personal resilience.

OUR MEETINGS

All attendees have the opportunity to introduce themselves and their business. Depending on numbers, introductions are between 30-60 seconds - so it would be a good idea to make a note of the key points you want to make!

You get to meet like-minded people, exchange ideas, learn, socialise, collaborate, gain knowledge, form new relationships, get fresh business ideas and tips and, of course, expand your introduction-based business network.

Whether your business is shop, office, industry, home based or in a shared space, you will meet motivated owners and entrepreneurs to share your passion and grow your business with.
