For too long, energy policy has been hijacked by corporate greed, foreign interests, and a green religious drive to scare away the climate demons.

The lifeblood of modern civilization is cheap energy, and it's being squandered on a futile quest to change the weather. Our electricity bills are rising, the factories and smelters are closing, jobs are moving to China, and average Australians are struggling to keep the lights on and the fridge running. 

At the People First Party, we believe energy policy must have one clear priority, people first.

Join us for this hard-hitting talk Shape the Future 3 - Green, Greed and the Grid with Jo Nova, a well known science educator and a world renown blogger (not many bloggers can boast of 25,000 hits A DAY on their blog!) and Gerard Rennick, joining us via live link from Queensland, as we cut through the absurdity of using our electrical grid to manage the Jet Streams:

While we are grateful to be able to offer an online viewing option, we encourage everyone to attend in person if possible. There is something powerful about being in the room together.

Some of the most valuable moments from previous events have happened before the presentations even began — people meeting for the first time, sharing ideas, discussing concerns about the direction of the country, and building connections with others who care deeply about Australia’s future.

These are the kinds of engaging conversations that simply do not happen online. Because community happens in person, not online. Sometimes we do not have a choice especially with WA’s rural regions and online attendance helps bridge the gap.
