Description

To mark National PA Day 2026, we're inviting Personal Assistant (PA) employers, PAs, organisations and anyone interested in Personal Assistance to come together to learn more about personal assistance, connect, and share experiences. Join us at Norton Park, Edinburgh, for an informal networking event celebrating National PA Day.

This is a relaxed, informal drop-in event offering opportunities to:

Meet and connect with PAs, PA employers, organisations and others involved in Personal Assistance.

Share experiences and ideas about Personal Assistance and the issues that matter to PAs and employers.

Explore resources and support available to PAs and PA employers.

Discover learning opportunities and find out more about Personal Assistance in Scotland.

There is no formal programme to follow. Attendees are welcome to come along at any point during the event, have a chat, explore available information and make new connections. Light refreshments, including tea, coffee, and cake, will be provided.

Although registration is not required, registering helps us to plan to provide refreshments for enough people.

We work to promote the values and principles of Self-directed Support, including choice, control and flexibility, in all aspects of social care support.

We do this by working collaboratively across the social care sector: with Scottish Government, Local Authorities, third sector organisations and our members, to improve Self-directed Support implementation in Scotland.

As a membership organisation, we bring together those who share our vision and values, to amplify our collective voice around social care support issues.

As a Disabled People’s Organisation (an organisation where at least 51% of the Board are either disabled people or/and people who are eligible for social care support), we stand up for the rights of disabled people and people who need support.

And we champion local Independent SDS Support Organisations across Scotland, who help thousands of people every year access and manage the support they need to live well.
