Who delivers the training?
The training was developed by Ada Conroy and Kelly Finch - Training and Framework Specialists. This session will be delivered by Kelly Finch.
Resisting Collusion with Men Who use Intimate Partner Violence was originally created on behalf of Women’s Health in the North (WHIN) by Ada Conroy and then further updated by Ada and Kelly Finch. Both Ada and Kelly each have over 20 years’ experience and knowledge in the sector, including as Men’s Behaviour Change Facilitators. They are passionate about creating an engaging and safe learning environment.
How is the training delivered?
The training is delivered face-to-face. It has been designed to be interactive, and includes large group discussion, small group activities, PowerPoint presentation slides, case studies (for practical application of learning) and trainer demonstration videos. The training is aligned with adult learning principles, as well as the Victorian MARAM Framework.
Each participant will receive a Participant Guide Book to support their learning throughout the day, along with other resources.
Is lunch provided?
Yes. Lunch is provided. You will be asked to specify any dietary requirements when completing your registration.
Are there any prerequisites for attending the training?
It is a requirement that professionals attending this training already have a good understanding of the dynamics of family violence, through previous and recent (within the last 2 years) training, such as Multi-Agency Risk Assessment and Management (MARAM) or equivalent if working outside of Victoria. It is also recommended that all participants watch the Introduction to Family Violence Response webinar (60 minutes) featuring Ada Conroy.
Who is this training for?
The training is open to any professional who may interact with men who use intimate partner violence. Family violence professionals who support and respond to victim survivors are also welcome to attend.

Cancellations
Registration fees are refundable up until 7 days before the training. After this time, you may be able to transfer your ticket to another person should you no longer be able to attend. In this case, please email us resisting.collusion@gmail.com
