Phulkari Workshop - NOV 14
Description
Join us for a welcoming, hands-on Custom Phulkari Tote Bag Workshop, perfect for anyone curious about this vibrant traditional Punjabi art form. In this session, you’ll be introduced to the rich heritage of Phulkari and guided step by step through the foundational stitches and techniques that make this embroidery style so distinctive.
You’ll then have the opportunity to create your own custom Phulkari motif on a tote bag, choosing your colours and designing a piece that reflects your own creativity.
This workshop is designed for small groups, with one-on-one guidance to ensure each participant receives dedicated time, support, and personalised instruction throughout the session.
Transparency Note: There is an additional £5 fee for materials.
By the end of the workshop, each participant will have created their own custom Phulkari tote bag to take home. No prior embroidery experience is needed. All materials, including the tote bag, threads, needles, and tools, will be provided so you can fully enjoy the creative process without any preparation.
Come ready to learn, stitch, and create in a relaxed and supportive environment.
