Hello Explorers!

You have bought tickets for @EventName and we are looking forward to seeing you!

Reading these seven notes will enrich your experience:

1. Check in at our welcome tent between 10:00 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. The welcome tent will be near the kids’ play structures at Codornices Park in Berkeley. Our guests will head off into the woods at 10:30 a.m. and we want to get you checked in with plenty of time! You can find directions to the park (with links to Google maps) here.

2. You and your kiddos will walk 1.5 miles over the course of approximately two hours. The terrain can be hilly and steep at times. The scenes of the show are spread throughout the park, giving plenty of built-in breaks from walking.

3. Feel free to bring snacks and water.

4. Pip, our fearless narrator, will be asking two important things of your kids:

When we are walking, stick together.
When we are seated, stay behind the magic rope.

If your kid is struggling with these, please gently help them!

5. You are welcome to take photos and videos as long as you are not interfering with anyone’s live experience. Posting to Instagram? Tag @pineconesandportals ! (And if you want to be sure your kid’s image stays off of our social media, let us know that too!)

6. Finally, honor your kid’s needs! If they need to take a rest break, or run around in the giant field we passed, or stop to look at a really interesting leaf, that is ok! Pip and Alice will keep it moving but that doesn't mean you have to. Our staff will be wearing Pinecones and Portals T-shirts. You can ask one of them for tips on where you and your kid can catch up with the group again.

7. Here are some accessibility measures we will provide at every show:

Quiet zone: If your family needs some low-stimulation quiet time at any point during the show, visit our Quiet Zone tent next to our Welcome Tent. Kids must be accompanied by a grown up.

Unfortunately, our route in Codornices Park is not ADA compliant and not accessible for wheelchairs and strollers. We have been working on securing an ADA-compliant location for our 2025 season!
