Plant life queer life – Plant drawing workshop 🌿 Darebin FUSE Festival
Event description
Draw Plants Together: plant life queer life
Draw Plants Together is partnering with Bridge Queer Gathering for FUSE@Large to present a friendly plant drawing workshop for queer and questioning people and allies that explores the queerness of plants and of the interconnected ecologies around us. Connect with other LGBTQIA+ folk, experiment with drawing and learn more about the indigenous plants of the Darebin area in a supportive environment. All materials provided. Plus, take home an indigenous plant from VINC nursery :)
The name of this workshop is borrowed from an article by Will Dwyer (plantae.org/plants-and-queerness) In Will’s words: ‘plants, like queerness, suggest new ways of being, living and loving.’
