Plant Swap
Description
Do you have healthy potted plants or cuttings you would like to swap? Do you want to meet other plant people in the local community?
Rules of plant swap
Healthy plants: Plants must be healthy and free of pests and disease.
Bring them in pots: with soil (secured with tape), as cuttings in a wet paper towel or water cup, or bare root.
Label your items: Clearly label your plant with its name and your name or social media handle.
Bring what you want to trade: Bring one or more plants or cuttings.
Always ask before taking: Never just take a plant. Always ask the owner for permission first. Plants on tables may have already been traded and are off-limits.
Follow the "bring one, take one" rule: The general idea is to swap items of similar quantity. If you bring three plants, you can take up to three in return of similar size/quality/rarity/value etc. Negotiate with the trader.
Be respectful: Be courteous and polite to other participants. If you are not interested in a trade, accept a polite "no" gracefully.
No selling: Trading only, not for buying and selling.
Clean up after yourself: Be considerate and clean up any mess you make.
