Planting! Nature Journal Workshop

Come join us at Barak Bushlands for a morning of planting with an artistic twist 🖌️

As part of the @fed.square and @creativeclimateau month long planting project, we are excited to host a nature journal workshop.

With @missstephanieart providing artistic guidance, we will draw the seedlings whilst @kai_lane__ gives insights of the cultural importance of the biodiversity. 🌿

The drawings YOU draw will be transferred onto clay and installed into the site as identification tags.

We will bring the tools and you can bring the talent!

It doesn’t end there!
On September 5th everyone will come together at Federation Square for a Planting Party 🥳 celebrating the end of the month long restoration events.

Fed Square and Creative Climate gratefully thanks its partners for making Planting possible: Creative Victoria, Creative Australia, Bupa, Melbourne Water and Burndap Birrarung burndap umarkoo collaboration, Now or Never and Landcare.

By joining this event, you’re helping to care for Birrarung and its catchment, contributing to the vision of the Yarra Strategic Plan, connecting with Birrarung as a living entity and exploring what a reciprocal relationship with the river can look like.
