Join botanist and gardener Terry Huang ONLINE for the last Planting for Success of 2025, as he guides you through specific best practices for your plant's first year of establishment and beyond.
In this class, you will learn:
How to prepare and test your soil
Assessing the light of your space
Specific watering methods and routines to grow resilient roots
Different ways to mulch

This class will be held online and recorded. Zoom login instructions will be included in the reminder emails. Registered students will have access to a recording of the class for 2 weeks after the live event.
Terry Huang is your friendly neighborhood botanist and garden coach. From helpful tips to encouragement, he loves finding creative ways to make botanical science and gardening knowledge fun and accessible. With an integrated background of botanical and horticultural experience, Terry is ready to share this knowledge and send you off on your gardening journey.
Terry holds a BS in Plant Biology from the University of Washington and a MSc in Biodiversity and Taxonomy of Plants from the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh. He works at the South Coast Botanic Garden as the Director of Living Collections.
